Give Time

We strive to live into the belief that the way we do our work is as important as the work we do. There are so many different forms of community and our volunteers are an essential part of the TNFP family! Each month around 150 unique volunteers invest their hands and hearts into the collective work of community food security through select opportunities in our kitchens, at our community gardens, and beyond!

Whether you’re looking for a long-term volunteer commitment or to drop-in and learn about our work, we would love to invite you into our volunteer community. See below for more information on how to grow, cook, and share with us!

Volunteer Meal Delivery

Want to hit the road to make a difference? The Nashville Food Project is recruiting volunteers to deliver meals to our community partners across the city! Each week, TNFP distributes thousands of meals, and with your help, we hope to reach more plates than ever in 2025! To help us achieve this goal, we are recruiting volunteers for weekly or bi-weekly shifts to deliver meals across Nashville using our distribution vehicles.

When: We’re looking for volunteers that can commit to delivering meals on a recurring basis. Ideally once/week or every other week - not open on weekends! We have shifts available from 8:30am-11:30am and 1:30pm-3:30pm; though shifts may end earlier depending on daily route needs and traffic!

Location: Volunteer drivers will leave from our headquarters at 5904 California Ave Nashville, TN 37209

Requirements: Valid driver’s license, comfortability driving larger vans, ability to commit to a set schedule
